Uranouchi Bay in the city of Susaki is a long and narrow bay stretching nearly 9 km east to west within the intricate terrain of a ria coast that creates a serene and picturesque landscape with calm waters and no waves, unlike the rugged image of the Pacific Ocean. The fishing rafts are about a 5-minute boat ride away and can be used anytime during daytime operating hours. Because the sea is calm, there is minimal rocking, and with restrooms onboard, families can enjoy fishing with peace of mind. The indoor part of the hut also has holes in the floor, meaning you can fish under a roof!A fishing raft that is just like a natural fishing pond. Fishing targets include such luxurious ingredients as lobster and blue crab!The fishing experience begins with a lecture on how to tie ropes used on boats and how to make fishing gear, letting you experience the master skills of these fishers. After departing the port, collect traps thrown into the sea by fishers in advance and catch your fish. While catching a lobster depends on the season and luck, blue crabs are relatively available throughout the year, and sometimes you may even catch horse mackerel or other fish. After the fishing experience, learn how to cook and eat lobster, crab, and fish in a lecture. Shimanto River Zip Line is a popular activity at Roadside Station Shimanto Towa, opened in 2020. Starting from a pillar on the opposite bank, zip across the Shimanto River for a distance of about 200 meters and approximately 20 meters above the surface of the water. The activity starts with a lecture, then you go down to the bank, cross the river on a hand-paddled boat operated by a boatman, which provides a little amusement just by watching the scenery during this leg of the journey (during high water, you will be taken by car). Climb the stairs to the boarding point, wait for the signal from the staff, then zip over the Shimanto River. Many say the Shimanto River Zip Line was less scary than they expected and that it was exhilarating. Be sure to visit to experience the thrills for yourself.

Forest Adventure Kochi, a nature-based outdoor park scheduled to open in April 2021 in the town of Tsuno. Forest Adventure Parks utilize forests as natural obstacle courses and are located throughout Japan, with Kochi being the first spot.
