9:40 am to 10:40 am: Guided Tour of the Shimanto River Headwaters
A guided tour to explore the mystical headwaters of the Shimanto River, where the entire forest is cloaked in green, moss grows on the rocks at your feet, and greenery abounds. Standing here, you'll understand why this place is called "the last pristine stream in Japan." The thought that this 196-kilometer-long river starts its journey here makes it all the more thrilling. Accompanied by a local guide, this tour is safe and secure.

Seiran no Sato is popular for its lunch buffet focused on local produce. This place remains "the closest lodging to the Shimanto River headwaters" and was reborn as a cozy inn where locals welcome you back. There are also activities that let you fully enjoy nature, such as walking the headwaters and exploring caves.

The town of Tsuno boasts the vast Shikoku Karst plateau and star-filled skies. Forest Adventure Kochi is a facility that lets you experience adventure in the area around the scenic Nagasawa Falls in the foothills of Shikoku Karst. This enormous park includes adventure courses and canopy courses that even children can enjoy, making it perfect for family fun.

3:30 PM: Hoshifuru Village Tengu
Hoshifuru Village Tengu is nestled on the highest peak of Shikoku Karst, Tengu no Mori (elevation: 1,485 meters). This facility crosses the border between Kochi and Ehime prefectures and features lodging and baths. At an elevation of 1,400 meters and with nothing to obstruct the starlight, this place is famous for stargazing. The area includes the Karst Learning Center, camping sites, and the Forest Therapy Road, making it an ideal base for sightseeing in the Shikoku Karst.

Shikoku Karst
The great outdoors of the Shikoku Karst. With walking trails everywhere, this place is perfect for hiking!Enjoy the fresh verdure in spring, a stunning contrast between swelling clouds and the grasslands in summer, and red leaves in fall. 12:10 PM to 3:00 PM: Jjimjilbang Restaurant Takatori
A facility where you can experience a Korean-style low-temperature sauna, or jjimjilbang, in the natural setting of Yusuhara. Since you wear special clothes and men and women can enter together, you can easily visit with friends and family. Experience two types of saunas, a germanium ore room and a rock salt room, and, after sweating it out, enjoy making authentic kimchi and delicious Korean cuisine.
