10:30 AM to 11:30 AM: Shimanto River Zip Line
Zip across the Shimanto River on a 220-meter zip line from the opposite bank. After the lecture, you will first cross to the opposite bank in a riverboat as if it were a pleasure cruise (by car if the water level is too high). Then, the sensation of gliding nearly 20 meters above the water might get addictive!

11:30 AM to 1:00 PM: Roadside Station Shimanto Towa
Located in the westernmost part of the Oku Shimanto area, this roadside station offers views of the Shimanto River. As a hub for local production and consumption, exchange, and regional revitalization, this place features the Towa Cafeteria, where you can savor food made with generous amounts of local produce, and the Towa Market, where a variety of local specialties are sold.

1:20 PM to 2:10 PM: Kaiyodo Kappa Hall
Approximately 600 pieces of kappa (water sprite) artwork from around the world are on display. Legends of the kappa still remain in the Utsuigawa River, a tributary of the nearby Shimanto River.

2:20 PM to 3:40 PM: Kaiyodo Hobby Hall Shimanto
Built in a structure that was once a school, this hall is cramped with figures produced by Kaiyodo on display. There are also diorama-making activities and merchandise on sale. Visitors from overseas (especially Asia), with an interest in Japanese hobby goods also visit here.

4:30 PM: Kuroshio Honjin (Closed for renovations from December 26, 2022, to April 6, 2023)
Located on high ground overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the symbol of Kure, Futana Island, this inn is famous for its delicious fish cuisine. There is a large communal bath made from heated spring water and an outdoor bath with a stunning view that has a salt bath made with heated seawater drawn from the Pacific Ocean. It has a main building as well as cottages, all of which offer views of the sea, and also has the Kuroshio Kobo where you can experience making straw-grilled seared bonito.

9:30 AM to 10:40 AM: Kuroshio Kobo (Straw-Grilled Seared Bonito Experience)
Fillet a whole bonito (intermediate course) and grill it over straw under the guidance of an instructor, all while taking in breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Even those who have never filleted a fish can participate with confidence. There is also a dining area where you can enjoy meal sets and more.

Roadside Station Nakatosa houses various stores. Marche Nakatosa carries a wealth of fresh vegetables and seafood. At Kuroshio-Tei Ika Sendo live squid is prepared and served on the spot. Hamayaki Kaioh is popular for its bonito rice bowls and shellfish grilled over charcoal. Iwamoto Komugi sells a variety of freshly baked bread and sandwiches, including seasonal bread made from local ingredients. Kaze Kobo is a shop popular for its sweets made from fresh strawberries delivered in season directly from local strawberry farmers.
